Dr. Shaleen Raizada, delivered a talk on the Importance of Intellectual Property Creation during the Session of Socio-biological Perspectives of Environment, Bioethics and IPR at the International Conference on Emerging Trends In Biotechnology, (ICETB) 2014, Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU). She explained how innovators can stop the monopoly of big MNCs by creating their own portfolios and how these can be used in a defensive/ offensive manner.
